To become known as a chapter that values research, clinic inquiry and knowledge dissemination. Currently sponsoring a Walk-a-thon for nursing research, and an Annual Research Day in conjunction with St. Luke’s Hospital. Please see our schedule for dates.

Promote ways to increase funding to our chapter over the next year. Currently targeting 3000.00 by increasing chapter member and corporate gifts by July 1, 2013.

Strengthening our approach in the areas of mentoring/leadership development. Offering periodic programs at Moravian College of interest to community and nurses. Hoping to be able to offer CEU’s to nurses that are needed for continuing licensure.

Improve communication from board to general membership. Currentlly managing our own website, offering email communications for our members and developing a chapter newsletter.

To become recognized as a chapter that is committed to community service.  Currently working on an “Adopt a School” program to increase health and literacy in grade schools.  Periodic travel programs in national or international nursing.
